          @dgr noch ein Hinweis: es steckt noch eine SD-Karte (64GB für Datensicherung) mit drin. Habe es aber auch schon ohne probiert.

                  Da läuft ein Recovery auf dem root-Dateisystem.
                  Da ist vermutlich was größeres defekt. Installier es neu.
                  Nix kopieren, klonen oder sonst was auftauen, Neuinstallation.

                    ich habe auf die SSD jetzt mit "Raspberry pi Imager" Bullseye light geflasht (incl. SSH, WLAN deaktiviert).
                    Danach an den Raspberry gesteckt, den gestartet, aber nichts passiert. Die SSD wird nicht angesprochen (keine LED aktiv)
                    Keine LED am LAN-Eingang. Im Router ist demzufolge auch nichts zu sehen.

                        Das spielt keine Rolle, beim flash wird das Dateisystem aus dem Image draufgebügelt.

                          @thomas-braun nach scheinbar endlos langer Zeit erscheint der Raspberry im Router, allerdings mit einer DHCP-Adresse und nicht der, die ich beim Flashen vorgegeben habe. Ping funktioniert, aber kein SSH.

                            ich habe mal den USB-Port gewechselt (von USB 2.0 auf USB 3.0). Jetzt komme ich mit Putty drauf. Den USB-Port am Raspberry hatte ich aber vorher schon mal probiert ohne Erfolg.
                            Gleich ein Fehler:

                            sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade -y

                              die Fehler sind typisch für das, was ich vorher schon hatte, wenn iobroker nicht mehr lief und Putty noch aktiv war, aber keine Kommandos mehr nahm.

                                    1. SSD formatiert
                                    2. mit Raspberry Pi Imager das Image 2022-01-28-raspios-bullseye-arm64-lite eingespielt
                                    3. SSD in Raspberry
                                    4. Putty: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -y
                                    sudo reboot
                                    -bash: /usr/bin/sudo: Input/output error
                                    
                                    

                                    Ich denke, es ist eher unwahrscheinlich, dass es an der SSD liegt.
                                    6. Ausschalten/Einschalten
                                    7.

                                      Sind typische Anzeichen für Hardware-Trouble und/oder defekte Dateisysteme.

                                        nach reboot habe ich "schnell" über raspi-config das System eingestellt nach den wichtigsten Punkten in dieser Anleitung:

                                            Hallo nochmal,
                                            das Ganze habe ich nun mit einem anderen SSD-Adapter gemacht (https://www.amazon.de/dp/B07TSBR114), leider mit dem gleichen Ergebnis.
                                            Ganz zu Anfang lief das System sogar etwa 5 Std. am Stück, jetzt wieder nur noch einige Minuten.
                                            Nachdem ich nun zwei SSD, zwei Adapter und die USB-Anschlüsse 3.0 und 2.0 ausprobiert habe, werde ich als Letztes den Adapter noch an einem aktiven USB-Hub testen. Wenn das auch nicht erfolgreich ist, steige ich wieder auf eine SD-Karte um.

                                            Es ist mir nicht klar, warum es z.B. von Herstellerseite hier offenbar keine Lösung gibt. Zumindest habe ich im Internet sowas nicht gefunden. Die User testen verschiedene Komponenten und manchmal scheint es zu funktionieren. Die eigentliche Ursache bleibt aber ungeklärt. Einfach eine SSD über USB anschließen und den Raspberry damit statt mit einer SD-Karte zu betreiben scheint vom Prinzip nicht möglich.
                                            Eine mögliche Ursache wäre auch noch ein Bug im OS. Da ich sowieso am Testen bin, werde ich es auch noch mit Buster versuchen.
