Dein Betriebssystem ist zu alt und muss neuinstalliert werden. Das ist noch ein Debian 10 'Buster'.

Und iobroker wird NIE, NIE, NIE mit sudo angepackt. NIE!

Wenn also iob nodejs-update 20 auf meinem Raspi nicht funktionieren sollte - wie komme ich wieder zurück zu meiner alten (funktionierenden) Version? Wenn das nicht geht, wäre das jetzt wirklich ein "kleines Problem".

versuchen. Aber du kommst NICHT daran vorbei, das OS zu beerdigen und da was unterstütztes zu installieren.
Diesmal dann direkt die 64Bit-Lite-Version verwenden.

Wenn das nicht geht, wäre das jetzt wirklich ein "kleines Problem".

Das kleine Problem hast du dir aber selber eingebrockt. Kiste künftig regelmäßig auf Stand bringen, dann versumpft dir das auch nicht so wie jetzt hier.

Ich mach Dir echt keinen Vorwurf, dass ich jetzt anscheinend ein Problem habe. Wer einfach ohne zu prüfen irgendeinen Code übernimmt, ist selber Schuld.

Also mit iob nodejs-update 18 habe ich keine Fehlermeldung erhalten und folgende Situation:
node: v18.20.4 (vorher 18.17.1)
npm: 10.7.0 (vorher 9.6.7)

Soweit so gut, aber es gibt leider das Problem, dass das Frontend über den Webbrowser nicht zu erreichen ist:
Beim Verbinden mit 192.168.178.71:8081 trat ein Fehler auf.

Zu meiner großen Überraschung scheint Iobroker aber zumindest teilweise zu laufen - zigbee hat eben funktioiert.

Nur wie bringe ich das Frontend wieder zum laufen?

Operating System: Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) ist der Grund.

iob start admin
iob update
iob upgrade
iob stop 
iob upgrade self
iob start

Davon dann ein Backup ziehen und damit in ein NEUINSTALLIERTES Raspberry OS 12 'Bookworm' umziehen.

DANKE !!! Das Zauberwort war iob start admin !!! So, jetzt komme ich erstmal wieder ins Admin und habe den alten Zustand hergestellt - super!

Also ich fasse Deine Empfehlung noch mal zusammen:

Backup vom jetztigen System herstellen
Installation von Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit) Debian version: 12 (bookworm)
Installation von Iobroker
Einspielen des Backups vom jetzigen System

Ist das korrekt so? Und Du meinst, dass ich keine Probleme bzgl. alter 32 Bit und neuer 64 Bit Version bekomme?

Mit 32/64Bit hat das nix zu tun.
